Donate Crypto to Ghana: 4 Verified Causes You Can Support

Donate Crypto for Ghana: STEM Access Program, Vocational Training Trust, Rural Well Access Fund and Coastal Cleanup Trust

Ghana has made steady progress on basic services, but the gap between towns and villages is still wide, and that is worth knowing before you donate crypto to Ghana. Citing the 2021 Population and Housing Census, the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs reported in 2026 that 96.4% of people in urban areas have access to basic drinking water, compared with 74.4% in rural communities, a gap of 22 percentage points.

Along the coast, plastic waste is a growing pressure on fishing communities. According to Cynthia Asare Bediako, Chief Director of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, as reported by the Ghanaian Times, Ghana generates 0.84 million metric tonnes of plastic waste a year; less than 10% is recycled and 9% leaks into the ocean.

Education is the other thread running through these causes. Young people who leave formal schooling early need practical routes into skilled trades, and in many public secondary schools physics and chemistry practicals are still taught from textbooks rather than at the lab bench. The four causes below are handled by a national agency and by Ghanaian and international organisations that our team has verified.

Causes you can support in Ghana

STEM Access Programme

This programme equips public secondary schools with shared laboratory equipment for physics and chemistry practicals. In schools where these subjects are currently taught from textbooks only, students gain the chance to carry out experiments themselves. Shared equipment lets one investment serve many classes.

Hands-on practicals are a core part of science learning, and schools without laboratories leave students to learn experiments only on paper. CAMFED Ghana works across 1,402 government schools in 46 districts.
