Get your cause funded by crypto donors
DonateCrypto connects registered nonprofits and verified charitable causes worldwide with donors who specifically want to give in cryptocurrency. Applying is free, and if you're approved, we take 0% off every donation raised for you.

0% platform fee
Every dollar donated toward your cause goes toward your cause — network fees are the only cost, and those go to the blockchain, not to us.
No crypto experience needed
You never touch a wallet. Donations are received and verified by our team, then converted and sent to your registered bank account within 24 hours of confirmation.
Backed by a 25-year track record
DonateCrypto is the crypto-giving program of Global Relief Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1999 — not a startup with no history behind it.
Who's eligible
We list causes worldwide, not only US-registered organizations — the same checks used across every cause already on the platform (see How We Vet Causes) apply to new applicants too:
- Real, identifiable organization or charitable activity. Official registration where one exists in your country, an official web presence, and independent references to your work.
- Verifiable, ongoing work. We look for outside corroboration — news coverage, government or UN data, or independently reported outcomes — not just your own description of what you do.
- Alignment with a category we already support. One of the 19 cause categories browsable on the homepage — such as Education, Health & Medical Aid, Water & Sanitation, or Disaster & Crisis Relief.
- Ability to receive funds outside of crypto. Since you'll never need to hold or manage cryptocurrency yourself, you'll need a bank account or equivalent that can receive a grant distribution.
How it works
You apply
Fill in the form below with your organization's details and what you're raising funds for. Takes about five minutes.
We review
Our team checks your registration, verifies your work through independent sources, and confirms the details against the eligibility checks above. Most applications are reviewed within two to three weeks.
You're listed
Once approved, we write your cause description ourselves — checked against public reporting, the same as every other cause on the site — and it goes live for donors to find and give to. We re-check your details periodically after that.
Funds reach you
Within 24 hours of each donation being confirmed, we convert it and send it by bank transfer to your organization's registered bank account — you never need to touch cryptocurrency directly.
What donors will see about your organization
Once you're listed, your cause gets its own page, and your organization is named in a "Funds handled by" section on it. Donors see the details our team has confirmed, nothing more:
- Your name and country, and your official registration number with the registry that issued it, where one exists.
- The year you were founded and where you're based.
- What you do and how the funds will be used for this cause, written by our team.
- Your track record — what you've achieved, using figures you've published or that are reported independently.
- How funds reach you: as a grant from Global Relief Group, typically by bank transfer.
- "Verified by our team on" and a date — the date we last confirmed your details. It updates whenever we re-check them.
Your cause also appears in the giving guide for your country on Donate by Country. Each guide is written in the country's main language and lists every cause we support there, with its partner.
Registered outside the US?
Most of our partners are registered outside the United States. We check registration with the official registry in your country. Registries our current partners are recorded with include:
If your country's registry isn't on this list, apply anyway — it's a sample, not a limit. If you're the country office of an international charity, give us your parent organization's registration as well as your own. If your organization was established by national law or recognized by decree rather than registered, tell us which law or decree.
What to have ready before you apply
The form takes about five minutes. Our review goes faster if you can also give us these when we follow up:
- Your registration number and the name of the registry that issued it
- The year you were founded and the city where you're based
- Your website, plus two or three independent references to your work — news coverage, government or UN reports, or evaluations by others
- A short summary of the specific work a donor's gift would fund
- Published figures on what you've achieved, if you have them
- Details of a bank account (or equivalent) that can receive a grant
Apply to be listed
No cost to apply, and we never take a cut of what's raised for your cause.
Questions before you apply
Is there a fee to apply, or a cut once we're listed?
No. Applying is free, and we don't take a platform fee from any donation raised for your cause — only network fees charged by the blockchain itself apply, same as every donor sees.
Do we need to be a US 501(c)(3)?
No. We list verified causes worldwide. If you're registered outside the US, tell us about your local registration in the form — we check official registration where one exists for your country.
Do we need to handle cryptocurrency ourselves?
No. Donations are received and verified by our team. We convert each donation and send it to your registered bank account within 24 hours of confirming it — you'll never need a crypto wallet.
Can we write our own cause description?
No. Tell us about your work in the application, and our team writes the description and checks every figure in it against public sources — the same as for every cause on the site. If you spot something inaccurate once you're listed, tell us and we'll correct it.
Can one organization be listed for more than one cause?
Yes, if each cause is distinct work. Several current partners run more than one listed cause — BRAC, for example, carries out three in Bangladesh. Each cause gets its own page and description.
What will the public see about us?
Only the details our team has confirmed: see what donors will see about your organization above. Your bank details and the contact details you give in the form are never shown.
What if we're not approved?
We'll let you know either way. If we can't verify something in the application, we'll ask for more information before making a final decision — reach out if you'd like more detail on a decision.
